transcript took place in the ISIS offices in Newcastle in March '03. Aspects of the work were visible on the net between 10.30am - 4pm each day.
transcript is a continuation of a work by Monica Ross which has been intermittently progressing, in different forms, since 2000 and has taken place in a variety of locations including a computer games company. The work transcribes "the work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction", a key essay by Walter Benjamin, into various virtual and actual forms. More info can be seen at the artist's website:
