Director / Programme
Sharon has many
years of arts development, management and co-ordination
experience with specialist knowledge of film and media art networks,
photographic practise and the formal education system.
She is a founder member and Director of ISIS Arts where she oversees programme
development, initiates projects with a range of regional partners and manages
the arts in education work in Northumberland. She represents ISIS on the
Creative Partnerships Northumberland Partnership Board.
She is committed to socially engaged practise and is a successful freelance
photographer best known for her work with older people and young people.
She has carried out many commissions and residencies in the region and has
published two books.
Director / Company Secretary
Clymene is a director and founder member of ISIS Arts, Newcastle where, with co-director Sharon Bailey, she is responsible for company and programme development. Clymene has a particular interest in international collaboration, and projects which provide an international platform for local engagement.
She has worked with regional policy makers to develop arts practise and strategy and has served on a range of strategic fora including The Cultural Industries Commissions for One North East, The Northumberland Strategic Arts Forum, Turning Point, the Visual Arts Forum, as a board member for Northern Cultural Skills Partnership and a board member of the Regional Cultural Consortium, Culture North East.
In 2007 Clymene was awarded a NESTA Cultural Leadership Fellowship, with a four month placement in Brussels at the European Forum for Arts and Heritage. Her fellowship also took her to India, China, and a number of European Countries forming the basis of a number of international collaborations. Since this fellowship, Clymene has been elected onto the board of Culture Action Europe based in Brussels.
Clymene is also vice-chair of Waygood Gallery and Studios. Clymene is lives in Hexham with her partner and son.

As Chair of Isis Arts, Pauline works closely with Sharon, Clymene and the rest of the board to steer the development and direction of the company. Pauline's work and interest has always been in the field of cultural change, for individuals, organisations, groups and places.
Pauline has worked in the arts and culture as a practitioner, a funder and as a policy maker. Until March 2009 she was Chief Executive of Culture North East, the regional cultural consortium and sat on the National Advisory Board for The Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
Before this Pauline was Head of Resource Development at Arts Council England North East and has been both a local authority Arts Officer and a member of a Community Arts collective.
As Visiting Fellow "Culture and the Creative Economy" at Newcastle University Business School, Pauline is working on new business models for arts organisations and the implications for them of changing contexts of funding, governance and patterns of cultural consumption.
Pauline is also the Chair of balletLORENT, a contemporary dance company based in Newcastle.
Pauline lives in Northumberland with her husband and the youngest of her six children.

Carol Cooke works for the
BBC as a Public Accountability Manager, is a writer and has experience of
• the media, both working for BBC and writing for print media.
• higher education and arts funding.
• project managing small and medium sized arts projects.

Board Member
A former Regional Director
of the Royal Institute of Architects for the
Northern Region, Claire joined One NorthEast the Regional Development Agency
in 2000. Since then she has fulfilled a number of roles. Firstly as the
Agency's principal expert and champion for the Culture and Creative Industries
in the North East
For the past three years Claire has become increasingly focussed on championing
design and in particular the potential of design to raise levels of innovation.
Claire's work in these areas is very quickly establishing her within
international design innovation networks
Following the announcement that the North East is to host the Design Council's
first national Design Biennial in 2007. Claire has worked full time on the
development, design, delivery and programme management of the Designs of the
time/Dott 07 programme.

Claire is a partner in a
large independent firm of chartered accountants. She has experience of managing
staff, budgets and deadlines whilst meeting client expectations in a commercial
environment.

Alex Craig is a solicitor
with Robert Muckle LLP and sits on the board of directors of ISIS Arts. She
advises on all aspects of intellectual property and information technology law.
She regularly advises on protection, maintenance, exploitation and enforcement
of intellectual property. Alex assists organisations who are looking to engage
in research and development projects or who are implementing new technologies
in their business. Alex also deals with a range of contractual issues for IT
suppliers and customers, including software licensing, IT procurement and
maintenance and support arrangements.

Jyl has been a director at ISIS since 1994. As a visual artist she has been working as an artist enabler across schools in the region for 18 years. Within ISIS she has worked as Co-ordinator, mentor and artist on many of the Education projects.
Project Co-ordinator
Charlotte is a visual artist who graduated from Newcastle University in June 2009. Charlotte's practise is related to the industrial heritage of the region, focusing on different ways to map place through social and historical elements, tracing an interface between people and their environments. Charlotte has worked with ISIS since October 2008 through a series of student and graduate placements, now taking on a role in project development, coordination and production.
Project Administrator
Margaret Clay (Margie) has been with ISIS
since 2000 supporting the ISIS team as project administrator. Margaret is responsible for
administrative support to all ISIS staff, which includes contracts, media training arrangements,
CRB disclosure checks, database updates and maintenance and general office duties.
Margaret has been married to Steve for over 20 years and has two daughters Amielee and Catherine.
In her spare time Margaret enjoys reading, listening to a variety of music and enjoys playing the
fiddle and is also trying to master the Irish whistle.
Financial & Legal Administrator
Janet has been with ISIS
since 2000 supporting the ISIS team in all things financial. She is responsible
for the upkeep of all ISIS' accounting systems including project budgets,
PAYE systems, income and expenditure, petty cash and final accounts.
She also prepares financial reports for ISIS' funders including the Arts Council,
Lottery, ESF, Local Authorities and Trusts.
Janet travels widely in her time off, partly as a fencer, representing Great
Britain in International Veteran's Fencing Championships.
Designer
Ian Tinwell has been the ISIS Arts designer for 15+ years. He also designs for other artists and arts organisations. Some past publications include:
