Charlotte has just spent 16 days at the 17th Asia Europe Foundation University in Penang, Malaysia. Charlotte was the sole UK representative attending the ASEF University, a 2 week programme to promote cross cultural exchanges among youth from the 46 Asian and European countries that make up the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) member states. Charlotte is now part of the network ASEFUAN to continue and develop new connections across Asia and Europe, Charlotte was elected as the European representative for the AU17 programme.
At the end of the 2 week programme, the participants produced an exhibition of photography, video and sound. The work represented their perspectives on shared heritage and culture, showing works from their home countries as well as work produced during their time in Malaysia. The exhibit titled, Shared Heritage: As we see it is currently on dispplay at theMuzium & Galeri Tuanku Fauziah,Universiti Sains Malaysia, it will then travel to Indonesia to be exhibited at the next Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
