Audience Links Xchange Conference in Stockholm
Last week we were in Stockholm with our European colleagues at a conference exploring how we engage audiences, hosted by our CORNERS partners Intercult. Over 4 days, the conference explored the challenges arts organisations face reaching their audiences and share innovative methods for engagement from across Europe, with contributions from experts and activists from Italy, Sweden, Spain, UK, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.
The conference included the first public presentation of Audience Development: how to place audiences at the centre of cultural organisations, a major study commissioned by the EU to provide successful audience development approaches from a European perspective, to be disseminated to cultural organisations and used as a basis for selection criteria for future calls launched by the Creative Europe programme. During the conference, our Erasmus placement Mariangela Dalfovo presented her research into audience development in international programme and ISIS Arts presented Bridging the Silence, our new Storteller feature on CORNERS Live.
