[voiceover] is a collaboration between artists Julie Myers (UK), Lucyna Kolendo (Poland) and Bojan Mucko (Croatia) gathered within the wider project Corners of Europe. From 30th November - 10th December, the artists met in Middlesbrough to develop their project, working closely with the Thorntree Roses group at the Community Hub at Thorntree and the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima).

The artists collect narratives about specific places connected with local industry, landscape, everyday life and work from the personal perspective of the workshop participants.

How are these topics connected, and how are different groups of people in the local area affected by the urban development throughout their life? What is the commonality of experience across the different locations in Europe?

The result of the workshops was a performative event broadcast live, which took place at the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art and was broadcast on http://www.cornerslive.org/.

The artists will return to present their project as part of the CORNERS event in South East Northumberland, from 9th - 22nd May 2016.
