Call for artists looking for Digital/New Media Training:

ISIS Arts is offering a limited amount of subsidised training opportunities for artists from the North East Region looking to update their digital/new media skills in a particular area.

The training can be in any programme or specialised area as long as it will benefit the artist's practise. This can include the creation and/or manipulation (live or post production) of still image, sound or video and other areas such as web-based work, 3D and interactive media. In addition to previous resources we now also have the ability to train in MAYA (3d animation software). A good general level of computer skills is required in order to benefit from this great opportunity to get tailored one-to-one tuition. Check out your eligibility before applying as only certain postcodes are eligible: http://www.go-ne.gov.uk/gone/eurofunding/objective2/key_docs/?a=42496

A contribution of £25 per training day (on average each artist will receive two days training) will be required.

The training will need to take place before 28th September 2008. (In applying for this opportunity please outline your availability.)

This call is open to any artist who has not received training at ISIS since September 2006

We are particularly keen to support training that might take place in August.

To apply please send a fully completed application form, downloadable from the ISIS Arts website: http://www.isisarts.org.uk/docs/training_form_2008.pdf an up-to-date CV and a few examples of your art work to ISIS Arts by 5pm, Tuesday 29th July 2008 (the selection will take place on the 30th of July).
