en-quire

For the second year running, ISIS Arts is involved in en-quire, a national action research project that explores the special benefits and challenges for young people of working with contemporary art within a gallery space.

ISIS Arts is co-ordinating the North East cluster of organisations, comprised of the University of Newcastle International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies and ISIS Arts.

The main research question explores how artists learn from each other when working with young people. Four moving image artists are working with a group of A/S level students from Blyth Community College. They began the sessions with a visit to the Big M at the Woodhorn Museum to view a series of short films to inspire the young people to make their own work. A visit to Baltic is planned for Spring 2007.
